What happens when you drink coke with bread?

People are used to drinking soft drink coke with bread. This eating habit is seen on daily basis, when some people buy soft drink coke, the next thing that will follow is bread. Some said it helps them to stay longer without having the feeling for hunger, some say is cheaper than buying a plate of food, some claim that the combination of coke and bread is very sweet so they like the taste.

What is Bitter lemon?

Bitter lemon is a carbonated soft flavoured with quinine and lemon.

The signature bitter taste is produced by a combination of the quinine and the lemon pith used in manufacturing the drink. Bitter lemon is drunk both by itself and as a mixer.

Let’s look at the ingredients in Schweppes Bitter Lemon (this drink is called Schweppes in Nigeria and in some other countries. it could have another name in other countries but my interest is the ingredients that are found in the drink which is my area of concentration)

DEFINITION OF MILK

Accordingto Wikipedia.com Milk is a pale liquid produced by the mammary glands of mammals. It is the primary source of nutrition for infant mammals before they are able to digest other types of food.

My focus is on other milk that are produced from the industry like Peak milk, Dano milk and three crowns milk to mention but a few.

The Ingredients in three crowns milk powder are: skimmed milk, vegetable fat, lecithin, sucrose, vitamins A, D₃, E, K₁ 

The questions are what are these ingredients and their effects to human health?

Health effects of the ingredients used in coca-cola soft drink

in our previous post, we discussed about ingredients being used in coca-cola soft drinks. let's look at the effects of the ingredients to our health. remember, we are not criticizing any product, rather we are only bringing awareness to what we eat on daily basis especially our eating habits. there some who take soft drink like coke on daily basis up to two or more bottles per day. what we are saying is to know the effects it will have to your health by consuming some of these products in large quantity. moderation is the best. i drink coke but not daily and i do not take more than a bottle. the question is what about you? how often do you drink coke?

 

Carbonated Water:

Carbonated water appears to have little impact on health. While carbonated water is somewhat acidic, this acidity is quickly neutralized by saliva.

Carbonated water may increase irritable bowel syndrome symptoms of bloating and gas due to the release of carbon dioxide in the digestive tract. It does not appear to have an effect on GERD. There is tentative evidence that carbonated water may help with constipation among people who have had a stroke. Some carbonated waters have added sodium, so they may be an issue for those on low-sodium diets.

Sugar is the generalized name for sweet, short-chain, soluble carbohydrates, many of which are used in food. They are composed of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen.
